Dear Seminar Participants (and those who did not make it!):
Thank you for coming! A Podcast is an amalgmation of two words: iPod and broadcast. It is basically TV or radio but on a much more personal level. Haven't you ever heard someone on TV /Radio and said to yourself, "I can do better than that." Or "Why don't they talk about xyz?" Well, now you can.
My Agenda:
1. Just Say it: If you have something to say, teach or promote, podcasting and producing video or audio mini shows is the way to go!
2. Collect Visuals and Audio for your show: Video tape something.
Easiest: Just talk into your computer webcam or video camera and import. Piece of Cake. Intermediate: Invite someone to join you, add titles, images and a music bed. Hardest: Hire a crew and editor and spend a lot of money on software, equipment, backgrounds, music, stock footage and photos.
3. Choose where you will distribute your pod show:
Podcast: You need a podcast carrier which will then make the file available in iTunes, and the iTunes directory where millions of people choose from hundreds of thousands of podcasts each Day DEMO Produce Free! How to submit to iTunes
Podbean:
You Tube: Millions are tuned in all day long. Great free way to distributeFacebook, MySpace, etc.
Your Website: Need Webdesigner
Your blog: Copy code
Blog Talk Radio: Another great free way to get the live feel of radio.
4. Upload. There are other sites besides You Tube: Vimeo, Mevio, Exposure Room
5. Promote: Eblast – Icontact/ Constant Contact, post on your social media sites, mail, flyers
